Room is a lot like self-imposing trauma. That’s what I told my friend. And that’s what it feels like a lot of the time. But I think it’s really nicely done and beautiful and even funny at times. I admit that I have a soft spot for stories told by unreliable narrators (recently, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Everything is Illuminated), but I really did like it. And I don’t even enjoy kids much, so that’s saying something.
